Actor and country-pop singer and song writer Jana Kramer rose to fame through television, where she was part of the cast on One Tree Hill as Alex in its final three seasons. The first three albums she released as a country artist included in episodes of the show, which helped her debut album, titled "Eponymous," into the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Thirty One, her follow-up album, released in 2015, climbed the Top Ten. The decade came to an end with appearances in Dancing with the Stars, television shows, and singles that were not album tracks. Kramer went to appear as Portia Ranson in 90210 between 2008 and 2009 as well as Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 before being cast on the show on the CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in 2009. She was on the show until the series' final season in the year 2012. Jana Kramer Kramer was a part of the cast of One Tree Hill from 2009 to the year 2012. She had signed an agreement with Elektra Records, and she debuted her contemporary country love tune I Won't give Up in an One Tree Hill episode in 2011. She was still appearing in films like Heart of the Country 2013 or Country Crush 2016 which would be appealing to her fanbase. The second album of Kramer, Thirty One came out through Warner Music Nashville by Kramer in October of the year 2015. I Got the Boy - an official Top Five country single - and Steven Tyler, Aerosmith's lead singer in a duet helped this album to achieve greater success. Starting in September of 2016, her two-month stint on the 23rd series of Dancing with the Stars ended with her finishing fourth. That same year, the album Feels Like Christmas with Straight No Chaser, was a smash hit for adult modern.
